I started this movement to think of Travel as a reward for working hard. It is not limited to working hard in corporate America. It includes working hard to create your own business. Working hard in the gym. Whatever your goals are when you work hard and achieve them don’t forget to reward yourself. I strongly believe that the reward of travel is better than any new expensive handbag, a new pair of sneakers or a table at the new nightclub. When you look at your monthly budget and reallocate money spent on eating out or going out you might find it is easy to put aside money into a travel fund. Rather it be a road trip to a neighboring city or a 21 hour flight across the world. Travel provides lifetime memories and with each new trip you learn something new about yourself. At every stage of your life it allows you to strengthen bonds with family, significant others and friends. If nothing else you have a really great story to tell your grandkids. Work Hard, Travel Well… Repeat 🙂
About the Creator
When I was younger I could count on one hand how many times I had flown on a plane. Most of my trips were church trips around the southeast and by car or bus. Fast forward to after college graduation and I planned my first trip to fly out to Los Angeles to visit a classmate who moved there.
Since then I made it a priority to put in my 40 plus hours a week at work but with each vacation day a trip was planned. I could not just sit at home on my days off. I have been fortunate to travel to alot of places in the US and some international places. I have decided that I am done with the U.S. and ready for more passport stamps.
I have always been known to be on the lookout for a good deal. Once my Grandma gave me $20 to go shopping in the mall and I came back with several items. She was shocked and said I learned this from my mom. That is how I approach trip planning. I work hard for the money to afford the trips but still travel well and comfortable all while spending money wisely and finding the best deals out there.
I created this page to share my experiences. At first when I started traveling I would just go for R&R. Now I try to incorporate an adventure in each trip. From kayaking in the bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico to climbing Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios, there is nothing that I won’t try, well except sky diving. I will include my reviews on the hotels and food on each trip. I hope that this site is helpful and encourages you to get out and explore rather it be by yourself, with family or friends. Traveling is something I am truly passionate about.
